A 2.4GHz transmitter that connects to your receiver or amplifier lets you enjoy the convenience of wireless operation and the simplicity of placing the F/X on the floor, a table or a shelf. Controlled Dispersion Array was first developed by Polk's analysis of head transfer functions during the development of Polk's patented SDA technology. A small transceiver included with the system connects the A/V receiver's surround channels to the F/X loudspeaker wirelessly. The system creates a convincing left, right, rear and back surround stage that emanates from behind the listener. The innovative Wireless Surround F/X speaker system consists of four 2.5" full range drivers and a 5.25" woofer, powered by a compact multichannel channel 120-watt DSP amplifier. The system reproduces 5.1 and 7.1 surround program material and features a 3-position DSP control that optimizes the image height for floor, table and shelf locations.
